LIVE PROJECTION STUDIO
LIVE

Trace each petal while watching the projector. Lift your finger to close the shape. Visuals stay inside these shapes.

Mapping guides appear while MAP is open. Projection Mode always hides guides.

Hide painted light to see the visual underneath. Your black mask stays active.

Draw light directly, or map the flower and choose a visual.

Paint light. Mask the rest.

Connect HDMI, open the app in Safari, then hold the phone in landscape before painting. Keep the phone, projector and sculpture still after alignment. If an older portrait session leaves a narrow workspace, use MAP → FIT WORKSPACE TO SCREEN. The existing artwork stays in place; a new flower template uses the full field.

  1. MAP → TRACE SURFACE: draw around each physical petal and lift to close. TOOLS hides the panel while keeping mapping active. Use MOVE SURFACE to drag a shape; use the arrow and size buttons for fine alignment. FLOWER TEMPLATE is a starting shape that you must align manually.
  2. VISUALS: choose a look, adjust speed/color/master light, load a local photo or video, or turn on microphone reactivity. No generated visuals project outside mapped surfaces. Clip paint is enabled by default once you have mapped shapes.
  3. Live cues store four visual looks, including speed, color and brightness. Select an empty slot and store; tap a filled slot to recall its look. Cues share the same mapping and artwork. PAINT OVERLAY hides painted layers without deleting them; the final black mask stays on.
  4. Use Color and Highlights to paint the flower while watching the projection.
  5. Use Shadows to paint translucent black for depth. Layer opacity affects the entire selected pass.
  6. Black Mask is always the final opaque pass. UNMASK reveals the underlying light without erasing it.
  7. Projection Mode hides every control instantly. Keep drawing; double tap in place to bring controls back.

HDMI normally mirrors the iPhone: open controls will also appear on the projector. This page does not create an independent second display. Black pixels reduce projected light; the projector’s black level still determines residual glow.

Fullscreen availability depends on the browser. If unavailable on iPhone, use Safari’s Add to Home Screen → Open as Web App on a hosted page to reduce browser chrome. Files previews are not the live app.

Resize preserves the artwork’s proportions with black borders. FIT WORKSPACE TO SCREEN expands the editable field without stretching retained artwork; changing orientation or projector settings still requires checking physical alignment. Start a new session in your final orientation.

This mobile studio handles one mirrored projector feed. It does not provide DMX/Art-Net, laser control, camera-based space scanning, multi-projector edge blending or a desktop VJ video-layer mixer.

Projects save mapping, paint, masks, visual settings and cues. Local media must be reselected after reload; the microphone is always off at startup. Autosave is local to this browser and may be unavailable for local files or private browsing. SAVE PROJECT downloads an editable backup; EXPORT PNG captures the current light effect without controls.
